Standard Meat Company Marks 90 Years with Ribbon Cutting at Our New Fort Worth Stockyards Plant
Sep 15, 2025

Standard Meat Company recently celebrated a milestone nine decades in the making at the ribbon-cutting of our fifth production facility, located near our headquarters in the iconic Fort Worth Stockyards. This new plant represents our most technologically advanced facility to date and marks a significant investment in our team, our community, and the future of our 90-year-old company.
Joined by Mayor Mattie Parker, local elected officials, business leaders, and our incredible employees and partners, we reflected on nine decades of family ownership, innovation, and unwavering commitment to quality. Fourth-generation leaders Ben Rosenthal and Ashli Rosenthal Blumenfeld are proud to carry forward the values their great-grandfather set in 1935, while continuing to invest in the people and tools that will shape our next chapter.
This new facility strengthens our ability to serve customers with innovative solutions and the quality SMC is known for. It also deepens our roots right here at home, bringing new jobs to Fort Worth and supporting the Stockyards community that has been part of the Fort Worth business story for so many generations.
Here’s to 90 years of quality, innovation, and community—and to the next 90!
